The Underworld is a proper old skool rock n roll dive. If the security give you shit its probably because your a dick, and if the quality of sound is something that determines a good gig for you then you should go back to Wembley with your telescope!!

how can you say it's a bad venue? at least you can get right up to the stage without a barrier... unlike 99% of venues putting on 'major'(ish) acts today, nearly all of which have been sanitised by big business :-(

This < ALL. Horrible venue. If you want to go to a gig where the sound is off when you're anywhere near the front and you've no sure bet of even being able to lay eyes on the act you paid to see, then this is the place to go. Might be alright if only 3-400 tickets get sold, but full it's terrible.

4 Pope-Stephen-XI- the venue is overpriced to say the least (cheapest beer is like 3.20), the bouncers are assholes, the sound is often shit.....
