I saw that Klimt movie too and it was pretty good indeed. Unfortunately the Egon movie is much harder to stumble upon these days so getting hold of that copy is quite a challenge even on the internet. Thanks for the link ;-) Cheers

Wow, Bowie doing film about Schiele….….that would have been perfect. I've only heard of one movie about Schiele called ‘’Excess and Punishment ‘’(1980) but I’ve seen only parts of it so don’t know really if it’s any good. Have you seen it?

You're right -Heroes cover always reminded me of Schiele, but I keep reading different interpretation of that cover and mainly that it was an allusion to Heckel's ''Roquairol'' ( I think even Bowie in one interview stated that). But I still see more similarity with Egon's contorted posing than with Heckel's painting ''Roquairol'' .......

Yes he sure was. And when you think that Egon died when he was 28 and already left such powerful art legacy. I always wonder what would be his further development as an artist, the same I wonder music-wise for Ian Curtis. They both reached artistic perfection in such young age...... Anyway really nice to see that we both appreciate the same things. We have good taste ;-)
