Plunger from the Umph's Vibes set this summer.

I'd probably have to go with "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy"

Smashing Pumpkins, without a moment's hesitation

5. Your newly discovered band is?
I've lately been digging Kap10Kurt and the Gaslight Anthem

6. Best female voice?
The singer from Chairlift has the most haunting voice I think I've ever heard. I'm in love with it.

7. Best male voice?
Jacob Hemphill from Soldiers Of Jah Army has a pretty sweet voice, i guess. So do Roosta and Prowla from Fear Nuttin Band. And Mikey Sarason, of course.

8. Music type you find yourself listening to most?
Usually some mixture of ska, punk, metal, or jammy stuff. Lately a SHIT-TON of indie electronic and remixes.

9. What do you listen to to hype you up?
Needled 24-7 or Mission Complete

Something along the lines of Morcheeba or lately Railroad Earth

Hot Buttered Rum String Band, last night. That was a party.

A lot of Umphrey's McGee, MGMT, and the Smashing Pumpkins

"Modern Rock" bullshit. I'm looking directly at you Nickelback and Saving Abel.

Any extended jam. Preferably Utopian Fir or Dark Star

I have no clue why MGMT and Gogol Bordello aren't fucking HUGE.

I used to play tenor sax (maybe i still can, i dunno) and i'm kinda learning to drum.

a few too many times.

technically yes. never mind that only 1 of the 3 members can actually play their instrument. never mind that we have yet to even have a rehearsal or write any songs. its ok though. we're crust punk.

Its good for studying and being generally pensive.

Not a fan of mainstream country, but bluegrass and outlaw country both kick ass.

I find great pleasure in melodic death metal, but brutal/technical death metal just doesn't do it for me.

I saw the Black Crowes Phil Lesh and Friends over the summer at Vibes, and I'm seeing the Smashing Pumpkins in 2 days.

Absolutely.

Let's just say I was pissed when I heard that Shiny Toy Guns got rid of Carah Faye Chernow.

Getting punched in the temple at Cradle of Filth

That dude I met at Gogol Bordello named Flood or something. we were screaming along to Start Wearing Purple in the back by the water cooler, then found each other again at the front 10 minutes later.

Less than Jake are fucking assholes live.

For Cincinnati, either the Pinstripes or the Frankl Project.
For Burlington, fuckin' Phish.

Something fuckin' weird. Probably some obscure percussion instrument that makes a strange noise.

Only on occasion, and I stay away from top 40s and modern rock stations.

I met Brian Viglione of World Inferno/Friendship Society and the Dresden Dolls through a mutual friend. He's really cool. So are the dudes from Bomb the Music Industry! they like to drink. that's cool.

Not really in my family, but among my friends, pretty much all of them.

yeah. bands shouldn't be fucking assholes to their fans. people pay to see these bands, and they look up to them, and they idolize them. then they go to their shows and the band treats them like shit, and when somebody goes up to a band member to talk to them after the show, they fucking blow them off like they're a fucking piece of gum under their shoe or something. Here's to you, Less than Jake.

My dad listens to Harry Chapin, and ONLY Harry Chapin.
My mom shares more musical tastes with me (partly my doing. i got her liking widespread panic).

generally only if the band really catches my fancy.
