I thought it was time for a revisit, but now with the album 3-burst (top sets of 3 consecutive albums from an artist, chronologically, not counting live albums or compilations/greatest hits).

Oh My God, I can't Believe it!

This monday they release the tickets to the Swedish Iron Maiden concerts. That's when I present my thesis project!

First night of insomnia in 2006, great opportunity to sum up 05 that was perhaps my most interesting year every music wise.

I enjoyed a lot of great concerts, my listening habits changed in major ways, I quit classical song and focused on the band (The Milestone Corporation) and I deepened my interest in rock and pop music.

I guess I'll start out with the concerts;

today is the 22nd of december which is traditionally the date on which our band brings another recording to its successful completion. and yet again this has been done.

today we completed thebig night out EP. the music is available here on last.fm so do have a listen. if you are into music like deep purple, the stone roses, oasis, radiohead or led zeppelin you might find it interesting.

the 22nd of december of 2005 is also the date when sparris ceased to exist.

Drummer: Nicko McBrain of iron maiden. I love the way he plays. Even though he isn't a very careful drummer and far from perfection, his sound is so wonderfully unique. Every hit on every drum is interesting. And he sure seems to enjoy playing.

Keyboard: tony carey of rainbow and others. no limit, no fear synthesizer and organ grinder..

Vocalist: ronnie james dio of lots of bands. the voice.. the voice.. ooh..

Bassist: john entwistle of the who. crazy and inventive. at last someone that takes tha…

todays topic: top 3

the drummers and keyboard players were hard to choose, i'm a bass player myself. don't even know if i will include keyboard players. what the heck.. but it'll be more like three keyboard players i like than the three greatest keyboard players known to mankind, same goes for drummers..

Still not dressed at one in the pm. Today is my first day of the christmas holiday and I have wasted some time choosing the best albums and songs of every year from 65-04. Some years are better than others is what I can conclude.

I realise that I can't go into details here, I won't even present my complete list.

One tough call was 66. Blonde on Blonde vs Havin a rave up with the yardbirds. I decided on having a rave partly because dylan gets enough positions as it is and this was the yardbirds big shot..…

Just home from heavy x-mas featuring Dio, Uriah Heep and Asia.

A great concert. I'm no huge fan of Asia but I guess they did ok. Uriah Heep were great, seemed to really enjoy themselves while playing. Too bad they asked us to sing happy birthday norweigan, seeing as to the concert being held in sweden and all..

Dio, the man that is, was absolutely astonashishing. His voice must be one of the greatest of all times. His backing band was ok, but it's all too clear that there is no guitarist in the world that can recreate…

Had a nice video night with a couple of friends this nigt. We watched Led Zeppelin (The 2003 DVD), Deep Purple (Making of Machinehead, California Jam and some short clips from other films), Rainbow (Rockpalast 77 with Ronnie James Dio), Manic Street Preachers (Millenium concert), Iron Maiden (clips from Maiden England, Live at the Rainbow and maybe something more that I've forgotten) and Pink Floyd (a Roger Waters interview on Syd and a video of Syd and the band playing Astronomy Domine.

It was great seeing Ritchie Blackmore trashing guitar after guitar both with Rainbow and Purple. It was…
