The most overlooked category in the Academy Awards is probably the "Best Original Score." The soundtrack frequently is what brings out the nuance of a scene. When the music (or sound effect) is skillfully edited you project Life into the work. It is very subliminal. However, when the job is overdone, it's a complete failure when you sense that the film is dictating your emotional reactions.
