He has lived in Liverpool, where he studied music at the second year at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

Howler is a surf garage rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band consists of Jordan Gatesmith (vocals, guitar), Max Petrek (keyboard), Ian Nygaard (guitar), France Camp (bass) and Brent Mayes (drums). The Free Drunk Songfacts reports that on the strength of an EP and their live show, the quintet were signed by Rough Trade Records. In the summer of 2011, Howler recorded their debut album America Give Up , which was released on January 16, 2012 in the UK and the following day in the US.

SUNBEARS! is a two-man band from Jacksonville, Florida. SUNBEARS! released their first album Dream Happy Dreams, which clocks in just over 30 minutes with a mix of electronically flourished grooves and vocal harmonies. SUNBEARS! are currently on tour with Black Kids and Mates of State, while they have previously played with the likes of dredg and Deerhunter.
