Reminds me of synesthesia for some reasons (alternate spelling sometimes "synaesthesia") and the great synesthetic composer Olivier Messiaen. Ever check his stuff out? It's pretty damn good!

yeah...Honneger was part of Les Six...with Darius Milhaud, Francis Poulenc, etc. They were all heavily influenced by the wonderfully quixotic Erik Satie. Pierre Schaeffer also did a nice musique-concrete piece using train noises. I really like his stuff (even more than the concrete of Pierre Henry).
