• Vol. 2.

    2008年 9月 5日, 21:44

I got GGD Vol. 2 in the mail today. <3 I can't wait to see the Red Rocks concert.
  • About top 30

    2008年 6月 30日, 15:04

    1. How did you get into 29?
    Flyleaf? I don't remember.

    2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
The first song I ever heard by A Perfect Circle was The Outsider. Had it on repeat whole last summer. Still root for that song as one of their best, definitely.

    3. How many albums by 13 do you own?
Tie between Slipknot and Counting Crows. I got no Slipknot albums (de facto I do, but not de jure, if that makes sense). As for Counting Crows, I've got 5. Only 1 is mine as in I bought for own money, though. The rest is the whole family's.

    4. What is your favorite song by 15?
My favourite Pearl Jam song is either Dissident or Daughter.

    5. What is your favorite song by 5?
My favourite Fall Out Boy song.. A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me or Champagne For My Real Friends, Real Pain For My Sham Friends. Also got an incredibly soft spot for 7 Minutes In Heaven (Atavan Halen).

    6. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
Are you kidding? Mindless Self Indulgence has nothing but happysongs, it would seem. Tornado is the song that makes me most happy, though.

    7. What is your favorite song by 10?
My favourite The Used song is Greener With the Scenery.

    8. What is a good memory you have involving 30?
    None particular :/

    9. Is there a song by 19 that makes you happy?
VI. Solitary Shell makes me happy. I like the upbeat guitar, although it's very not Dream Theater.

    10. How many times have you seen 25 live?
I've seen Paramore once, just two weeks or so ago.

    11. What is the first song you ever heard by 23?
The first Korn song I heard was Freak On A Leash. Everyone heard that one first, right?

    12. What is your favorite album by 11?
Crap. It's a tie, I can't choose. They're so different, Panic at the Disco isn't comparable in that way anymore.

    13. Who is a favorite member of 1?
None :) I love the Goo Goo Dolls equally (though I "know" John Rzeznik more).

    14. Have you ever seen 14 live?
I've seen Billy Talent twice, and talked to them. Can't wait until they come back again, I love being at their shows.

    15. What is a good memory involving 27?
What's up with choosing artists I've got no good memories of? D:

    16. What is your favorite song by 16?
My favourite The Replacements song is either Bastards of Young or I Will Dare. They're only number 16? I really don't listen enough to them.

    17. What is your favorite album by 18?
My favourite Biffy Clyro album is Puzzle.

    18. What is your favorite song by 21?
My favourite Placebo song is either Blue American or Teenage Angst.

    19. What is the first song you ever heard by 26?
My first Nirvana song is of course Smells Like Teen Spirit.

    20. What is your favorite album by 2?
Favourite My Chemical Romance album is definitely Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.

    21. What is you favorite song by 3?
WAAAH I CAN'T CHOOSE D: I love all Alien Ant Farm songs so much.
Movies is my long-time love, but Rubber Mallet is fucking awesome I've found out lately.

    22. What is you favorite song by 8?
I'm not sure what my fave Foo Fighters song is, actually. I mean, they're a band that I listen to a LOT but I really don't think about them as one of my favourite bands, oddly enough. Winnebago, Learn To Fly and Stacked Actors must be my favourites.

    23. How many times have you seen 17 live?
I've seen Marilyn Manson once, this winter.

    24. What is the worst song by 12?
Slipknot have got so many horrible songs I can't choose xD

    25. What was the first song you ever heard by 28?
My first Alice in Chains song was Would?

    26. What is you favorite album by 7?
I don't really know, Muse is like Foo Fighters. I'd say Origin of Symmetry, it's got the most songs I like.

    27. What is your favorite song by 24?
My favourite Lostprophets song is really hard to choose, actually, much more than I would've though. I'll go with Rooftops (A Liberation Brodcast) because it was the first song I heard.

    28. Is there a song by 9 that makes you happy?
My favourite song and the song that makes me most happy by The Dresden Dolls is Shores Of California, definitely.

    29. What is your favorite album by 4?
My favourite Incubus album is Morning View.

    30. How many albums do you own by 20?
I only have American Idiot out of all the Green Day albums (plus one collection kind of thing from my best friend who is a hardcore Green Day fan). I want the others badly, but I never really get around to buying them.
  • About Hove

    2008年 6月 29日, 18:28

Hove was fantastic :D I love festivals so much (except for the fact that I got some sort of virus and my stomach is totally hating me atm).

Highlights: Seeing Panic at the Disco, The Used, The Wombats and The Kooks. I also talked to Dan Whitesides and Jeph Howard of The Used and got Spencer Smith from PATD's drumstick :D Which is totally awesome.

I was also plesantly surprised by Blood Red Shoes and Animal Alpha. I'm definitely going to watch those two bands in the future.

Also, clubbing/rave dancing is so much fun, holy crap.
  • M & G with the Goos in 30 days

    2008年 6月 10日, 22:35

HAH! I WON A MEET & GREET WITH THE Goo Goo Dolls. HOLY SHIT, LIKE. *bounces about the place*

Well, no luck in love and no luck in games will make you lucky when it's really important.

Also, I have blue hair, as can be seen in my profile picture or whatever you want to call it. Hat not included.

    listening to atm:

I never thought I'd say this, but IM is kinda cool. Awfully cheesy art, though.

And lastly; Norwegian Wood on Thursday. Hell am I excited.
  • RIP iPWN & Hannah Bond

    2008年 5月 31日, 21:32

My first iPod, iPWN, just died a week ago. May it RIP.

Good side to this: I now have a new one whose right earplug actually works and doesn't need to be held together with a rubber band. Also, it has 160gb.
    Ily, iPaw <3

I've currently 126gb of free space. Hah, earlier today I had 127. Am working on it, most definitely. Should try and give it a run for it's money.

I need a reason to plug a band. Hmm.

Oh yeah, the very tragic death of Hannah Bond. I feel awfully sorry for the girl and her family, but more so for My Chemical Romance for having to take the blame. The Daily Mail? More like the Daily Fail. I feel warm and fuzzy at the thought of the protesters.
  • Alien Ant Farm back again?

    2008年 4月 30日, 21:05

.. at least that's the impression I'm getting when looking at AAF.com.

:D I am hopeful as heck. Alien Ant Farm are absolutely awesome, give 'em a listen if you haven't before.

90s nostalgia is nice, and I didn't even listen to them back then. How come I miss the 90s so much when I was a kid during that time?

    Movies
At slow speed we all seem focused
    In motion we seem wrong
In summer we can taste the rain

Also, their cover of Michael Jacksons' Smooth Criminal is so much better than the original. *slaps hands over mouth* Sorry Wacko. As much as I love you, they totally supersede you and you music.
  • 87 days and counting

    2008年 4月 15日, 21:20

I feels really good to have my name as a Top Listener when I go to the Goo Goo Dolls page, however sad that might be.

Goal accomplished! AND ONLY 87 DAYS, 86 IF WE'RE COUNTING HOURS, UNTIL I'M SEEING THEM. YES. AM EXCITED.

Bleh. Stupid GHV2 tracklist. I like the cover, though.
  • SERIOUSLY?

    2008年 4月 14日, 12:15

I have tickets to the Goo Goo Dolls show in Liverpool 11th of June.

    :O :'D
  • Insult your overall top artists

    2008年 4月 13日, 12:59

Most of this is just bullshit. I still love the bands like there's no day tomorrow.

    Goo Goo Dolls
John Rzeznik, you are a fashion disaster.
    My Chemical Romance
You guys whine too much. Honestly, you've got brilliant lives, stop complaining.
    Incubus
Whatever made you think funk-rock-tronics would be popular? And Brandon, please ditch the semi-beard thing.
    The Dresden Dolls
Amanda, you hit too many random notes when playing.
    Mindless Self Indulgence
You mean sons of bitches. You just don't know how to be nice, huh, Jimmy?
    Fall Out Boy
You sound shit live, and Pete Wentz might just be the worst thing that ever happened to the celebrity-world.
    Alien Ant Farm
It's not all that charming to run around pretending you're a kid when you've passed the age of thirty.
    Foo Fighters
The slow CD from In Your Honor is boring.
    Counting Crows
Adam, being poetic is totally not cool anymore. And you use too many of the same words again and again and again.
    The Used
    Bert, you're an asshole.
    Biffy Clyro
What the shit is up with your song titles? Toys, Toys, Toys, Choke, Toys, Toys Toys? Strung to Your Ribcage? Glitter and Trauma? Honestly, you sound like an wannabe-emo band.
    Pearl Jam
Get off your high pedestals. You are not the center of the world.
    Dream Theater
LaBrie is a lady with diva complexes (see Systematic Chaos Deluxe edition DVD). Your songs are too fucking long. 42 minutes?
    Marilyn Manson
Stop playing on the goddamned image of "poetic soul with issues". You're not that special.
    Billy Talent
Ben Kowalewicz, your voice is just plainly odd.
    The Replacements
Hell yeah Paul Westerberg is bitter. You never were as popular as the Goo Goo Dolls, get over it.
    Placebo
Brian Molko, your voice is also plainly odd.
    Korn
Your music was cool in the 90s, not anymore. Get a move on and do something new.
    Muse
    Knights Of Cydonia sucks.
    A Perfect Circle
Tool is a way better band. Stick with what you know, Maynard.
    Lostprophets
    Ian, your voice is whiney.
    Guano Apes
Bands with female vocalists can never become big unless they're a pop group. Seems like you realized, since you're not a band anymore.
    Alice in Chains
Layne Staley looked like a goat. Sounded like one, too.
    Slipknot
Most of your songs are just noise-pollution.
    Flyleaf
What's up with hating yourselves? Your attempt at covering up emo-lyrics with guitar riffs are not working.
    Paramore
You've become the definition of the emo movement. Shame on you.
    Nirvana
Learn to play a guitar, Kurt.
    Green Day
    Same goes for you, BJ.
    Panic at the Disco
Are you trying to be the new Beatles or what?
    Linkin Park
Same goes for you as did with KoRn. Your kind of music is outdated, and your attempt at doing something with it only resulted in a pest known as What I've Done.
    Basement Jaxx
Music like yours is for kids who only drink and party.
    Arctic Monkeys
You try to be cool, but fail miserably.
    Tool
Do all your fans a favour and get over the mysterious-image, hm?
    Disturbed
    You're cheesy.
    Taking Back Sunday
    You're so last summer.
    Kings of Convenience
    Your music is boring, zzzz.
    The White Stripes
Meg is not a good drummer.
    The Cure
    Grow up.
    The Killers
    PLEASE DITCH THE 'STACHE, BRANDON.
    System of a Down
Too strange to be cool. You'd even creep Nick Cave out.
    Soundgarden
    Audioslave is better.
    El Caco
You're cheesier than Disturbed. Drop the beards, guys.
    Alexisonfire
Dallas Green, you should practice growling. You sound like a dying dog.
    Himalayans
There's a reason you never made more than one CD.
    Depeche Mode
Your music isn't cool anymore. Get bangs and a piercing or ten, then maybe.
    Alanis Morissette
Hasn't done anything good since Hands Clean.
    Madina Lake
You sold out before you were a band. Going on national TV to get money? What a cliché.
    John Rzeznik
Do you even know your own lyrics? No, that kind of thing never happens to Bon Jovi, but that's because he memorizes the songs.
    Say Anything
You are slaves of the capitalist dogma as well. Hypocrites.
    Rage Against the Machine
Political bands are so 90s. Your attempt at trying to get together again or whatever it is, is doomed to fail.
  • I has purdy CD

    2008年 4月 10日, 20:56

EEEEEEE. I just got my copy of Goo Goo Dolls (First Release) in the mail today :D Which basically means that I've got their whole CD-collection, which makes me happy. I am a material girl (although I'm not really, cuz y'know, buying music is a way of buying experiences, and since it's the music I'm buying the CDs for, that means that I'm not really in it for the materalistic part which makes me less materialistic /end train of thought).

And if you didn't notice, I've put up a new pic. I don't think I'm going to use it for very long as I have another one I'd like to use in which I don't look absolutely off my rocker, but my facial expression in the one I'm using right now are pretty much how I think I would look if I saw the guys. Yeahhh.

I want to rock, nana nana nanaaa
I wonder whatever made THAT fashionable.

YAY. JUST GOT TO KNOW THAT THERE IS A RELEASE DATO FOR GREATEST HITS VOLUME TWO. YAY!
