Of course Big Day Out was going to be a day to remember, everything was organised wonderfully with plenty of water, toilets, stages all being in great locations, plenty of shade and space for the thousands of people that attended.
I got around to seeing The Naked and Famous, Little Red, Washington, Andrew WK. , Lupe Fiasco, Bliss N Eso, Crystal Castles, Iggy and The Stooges, Sia, LCD Soundsystem and Ratatat, but my personal favourite part of the whole festival was the Silent Disco.
My favourite act was Crystal Castles, although i struggled to breathe and the amount of sweat in the boiler room was unbearable it was worth it for the music .
Bliss N Eso had the best atmospheric feel to it , everyone around me seemed to really get into it and it was just a good time in general .
Being inside the silent disco was on of the best music festival experiences i've ever had, everybody letting go, dancing and singing without any worry that when the headphones come off it's just a bunch of people dancing and singing to silence, such a good idea for a festival and was so much fun in a group of friends.
The over all festival was a great day out, everything was organised very well and despite the painful sunburn i left with it was worth it for all the great music i got the chance to see live.
