Sat 12 Jan – Zombina & The Skeletones, Ricky Spontane

Going to see a band with such a kitsch name and appearance, I really didn't have high expectations for anything other than a laugh and a fun night out but these guys (these ghouls?!) surprised me.

They knocked out a set of punk tunes that could keep up with any of the best 3-chord punk composers and with a great beat - even if the bass drum pedal gave up the ghost (doh, another bad pun) during the set.

Like The Cramps or The Misfits or The Damned? Check this lot out next time you get a chance.
