Review: A Day to Remember @ Newcastle University, Basement

Tue 9 Mar – A Day to Remember, Architects, Your Demise

This was the first gig in aages that I was really excited for for weeks beforehand :D and you know what? Totally worth getting excited for. I did manage to catch the end of Architects, but they're really not my kind of thing at all.

A Day to Remember were fucking spot on. They opened with Fast Forward to 2012 which pleased me, and they played pretty much everything I'd wanted to hear, including I'm Made of Wax Larry, What Are You Made Of?, Homesick, Have Faith in Me, A Shot in the Dark and more :). They ended with (unsurprisingly!) The Downfall of Us All and The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle.

The crowd were alright, actually. I thought it was gonna be full of absolute dickheads, but was okay; just full of children :p. And ADTR sounded way better than they did supporting BMTH. My only complaint if I had one would be that I would've liked to hear Since U Been Gone and If It Means a Lot to You, but I understand why they didn't play them I guess.

That's all I have to say really. Best gig I have been to in ages, I love ADTR. Whoop! :D
