I was listening to some music and so I started listing all of the bands that I’ve seen live in concert over the last decade or so. Here they are in no particular order: # of times in parenthesis
Headliners:
Metallica (6), Megadeth, Dream Theater (2), Joe Satriani, Trivium (2), Alice in Chains (Post-Layne Staley), Mastodon, Dethklok, Nine Inch Nails, Korn (5), Godsmack (6), Linkin Park (2), Aerosmith, KISS, Alter Bridge, Creed (2), The Gufs (2), Rob Zombie, Tantric, Theory of a Deadman (2), Evanescence, Sevendust (2), Stone Temple Pilots, Shania Twain
Opening Bands:
Fear Factory, Neurosonic, HELLYEAH, Atreyu, Jerry Cantrell (solo), Days of the New, Breaking Benjamin, Snoop Dogg, The Used, Saliva, Corrosion of Conformity, Shinedown, Kid Rock, The Corrs, Pet Engine, Suite 13, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Skindred, Submersed, Bedlam, Into Eternity, Redemption, Machine Head, The Sword, Dirge Within, Whitechapel, Darkest Hour, Converge and a few I can’t remember (probably for the best.)
Favorite Concert: Metallica at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee on February 14, 1997. It was my first major concert and me and my friend, Adam, went together. We had awesome second floor, front-row seats that looked over the whole floor-wide stage. We also ran into some other friends from school and they came and sat by us. It’s the one concert that always comes to mind.
Favorite Concert Moment: Hands down, Metallica at the Marcus Ampitheatre in July 1998. This is where I got to meet James Hetfield and Jason Newsted. Funny story, actually. I was a member of the MetClub, Metallica Fan Club, for a few years. I stopped my membership earlier that year, so I didn’t receive a new "membership card." But, fortunately, with my quick thinking, I told the guy that I renewed it but didn’t receive my new card yet. So, he let me in. I even have pictures to prove it…somewhere.
Hoped to see live: Pantera, though now with Dimebag Darrell gone, that’ll never happen. Also would've loved to see Cliff Burton play.
