I'm almost done with my Iceland travel plan, quoting Stefan Sagmeister
Traveling alone is helpful for a new perspective on life.So let's see what will happen.
Music is important, I'll hire a car and I started to thing on which albums I'll have to carry on.
I'll stay there 8 days, driving all around the island, so 20 albums is a good number. I've chosen the most listen in the last year and indeed, some Sigur Ros music.
Here's the list.
- Funeral and Neon Bible from Arcade Fire, I can't go there without those two.
- Legend this is one is like an anti depressive drug, in the remote case that I'll get depressed in the middle of Icelan I'll have this.
- Fevers and Mirrors and I'm Wide Awake It's Morning two great album, I love Bright Eyes
- O I'm not 100% sure to bring this one, it's a very good album, I like almost all the songs but…
- Destroyer's Rubies this is a funny, intelligent, great album
- Good News For People Who Love Bad News Modest Mouse are one of my last "discoveries" in the wonderful American indie music ground
- Finally We Are No One well, some Icelandic music. I'm not a big fan of electronic music, but when it's made by Mùm…
- Harvest a classic, I can't live without.
- Pink Moon an old classic, a cult album.
- Death To The Pixies what to bring from the Pixies? Surfer Rosa or Doolitle? Let's bring the best of both albums.
- Cold Roses, Demolition, Easy Tiger, Gold, Heartbreaker more or less all my favourite Ryan Adams albums.
- Ágætis Byrjun and Takk... from Sigur Rós
- Yankee Hotel Foxtrot from Wilco, just their best album ever!
