Well I know I mentioned her last blog but hey, more is better as far as im concerned when it comes to this lovely lady :) (oh yeah, I'm talking about Laura Veirs ;p)

Having had a chance to soak up the sounds of Carbon Glacier and Year of the Meteors I'm getting more and more excited about seeing her next month, maybe even more so than I am to be seeing the League of Gentlemen next month as well!

It's just really great songwriting and both albums have such a diverse range of feels to the tracks, its a mini adventure everytime you listen. Current faves on CG are Riptide and Rapture. Rapture especially reminds me slightly of Emiliana Torrini with the sparse but gorgeous guitar arangements. On YotM its a little harder, i haven't had as much time with it but most probably my fave so far is Through The Glow. Hehe again it has a slight Emiliana Torrini vibe to it which reminds me of Serenade with its slightly layered vocals in parts. All extremely lovely :)

For all European people, shes touring next month so don't miss out!!
