20 years ago today we lost one of the greatest musicians of our lifetime Kurt Cobain, for many of us April 5th will never get any easier. Being a NIRVANA fan you will always remember the very first time you heard them and also the heart breaking moment that you heard Kurt had died.. NIRVANA came along and breathed new life into the music scene of the early 90's. All the phoney, spandex wearing, talentless hair bands got kicked to the curb, where they belong.. NIRVANA was real and raw, nothing about them was fake, what you see is what you get kinda attitude. The misfits and underdogs in society could really relate to Kurt which is why so many people were drawn to him, not to mention that their music kicked ASS.. I feel very lucky to have been able to experience first hand the transformation of the music scene that took place. It's a once in a lifetime kinda experience. The first time you listened to them it was EPIC almost like you struck gold, musically speaking. Their sound was awesome, something fresh and yet somehow nostalgic and familiar to me. I have been a fan for over 20 years, their music never gets old, I never get tired of listening to them. As you all know NIRVANA will be inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 10th . And rightfully so, they have earned their spot. Although it will be a bittersweet moment for them and for us fans because the heart of NIRVANA isn't here to celebrate with us. Kurt will be sorely missed by all. Though he may not be with us physically, his presence is felt through his music in the lives of his many fans, old and new. His legacy continues to grow as more and more of the younger generations are discovering the musical genius of NIRVANA. My wish for all of you in remembering Kurt is that instead of mourning you would choose to celebrate. Celebrate the fact that Kurt gave us a part of himself through his music. We have all had the privilege of being touched and inspired by this amazing man. Kurt we miss you everyday.. He was one of a kind, NEVER to be forgotten..
