Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! is the most humorous Megadeth album. Several songs have some kind of ironic twist ending, like Last Rites/Loved to Death about the limits of love, or Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good about a normal working day in the life of a contract killer. The song Chosen Ones becomes absolutely hilarious once you realize that the lyrics have been lifted straight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. These Boots is a laugh out loud funny cover version of the Nancy Sinatra song that unfortunately is not included (or included but censored) on some versions of KIMBABIG because of copyright issues.

Other tracks on the album sets up the imagery associated with Megadeth: Skull Beneath The Skin dealing with the creation of the band mascot, and Rattlehead providing the name.

The songwriting is very strong overall. This is hardly a surprise considering that Mustaine had already had plenty of practice writing songs for Metallica. The song Mechanix is included on the album presumably to show his former band mates what the song really is supposed to sound like.

But my favorite track on the album is the powerful Looking Down The Cross. Barely 5 minutes in length it probably cannot rightfully be called "epic", but still that is how I think of it. Perhaps it could be considered the Megadeth version of Bohemian Rhapsody.

KIMBABIG is a solid album only slightly marred by low production quality. It's a must-buy for every serious Megadeth fan, although casual fans interested in the band's early days might be satisfied with just Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?.
