btw. I also love the sounds of Basinski, but ... when the 60 minute loop slowly disintegrates it feels like "tristezza" .... I often woke up during that track and had to change the sleeping cd o_O ...

ok ... but many ambient tracks have something boring or annyoing at a certain part of the track .... I have compiled different sleeping mp3-cds ... I play them the whole night at low volume .... there are some few lesser known tracks by Biosphere, e.g. Heat Leak, Shenzou, Silene or Warmed by the Drift, some few by Alva Noto, some few by Stars of the Lid and some few by Brian Eno, which are ideal for that purpose ....
