Your compatibility with RedSteel92 is Low. You both listen to Fugazi, KMFDM and Annihilator. Do you still hate Fugazi?
操作
回复
-
RedSteel92
I don't hate them, I just don't really want to listen to them. Music is fantastic, lyrics are full of cringey left wing bullshit.
操作
回复
-
jediwarlock1
Yeah I'm not a fan of the politics either, I cant stand the majority of punk music for that reason, but Fugazi is good enough that I overlook the lyrics
操作
-
RedSteel92
KMFDM kind of falls into the same category for me, even though they're industrial. You can make an awesome playlist of individual KMFDM songs though and dodge a lot of cringe and filler.

I like it pretty well! I gave it 4 stars on RateYourMusic! It's the only album by Cephalic Carnage I have heard, so IDK how to judge it fully, but the spastic technicality and heaviness reminded me of Cryptopsy who I really love.
操作
-
MunkeyChips
Oh yeah, I can feel the Cryptopsy vibes! They leaned into that sort of Death Metal sound and Death/Grind starting with "Lucid Interval," before that, it was a pure Grindcore sound. Their first two albums were kinda hit-and-miss for me. "Mislead" is my second favorite of theirs. Great album! If you want more of that sound, I recommend "Anomalies" next; my personal favorite.

On another note, I noticed you're also a gamer. If you care about narrative driven RPGs, give Disco Elysium a chance. You won't regret it. Even thinking about it fills me with all sorts of emotions.

If you do, wait for the Final Cut edition coming out at the end of the month. Full voice over plus extra content. I've been playing RPGs for almost 20 years now, and this one is on a league of its own. Also, what's your favourites?
操作
-
RedSteel92
Yeah, I will see if it goes on sale later in the year and possibly snatch it up! My favorite rpg's would be Octopath Traveler, the original Mass Effect Trilogy, Skyrim, and Fallout 3 and New Vegas probably. Many others, though!

Love Djinns, Best cover art. Impulse vinyl buy, I was excited at first, but after a few listens I can't bring myself to spin it again. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad album, it just didn't stick with me. Conversely, last year's Havukruunu and Imperial Triumphant, I cannot get enough of. Maybe I'll give it another shot at some point. What did you think?

Hmm, I'd say if you scarcely play any games but wanna have a good night that it's worth checking out the latest Capcom games. Probably Resident Evil 2 unless you enjoy something a bit more complicated and fast-paced like Devil May Cry 5. They both perform amazingly on console and PC whilst looking fairly stunning and they aren't stupid 100-hour games or anything. A weekend would suffice to totally finish one. Subnautica is a pretty unique exploration game if you like the look of that, it was one of the few things in the past few years which pulled me away from FPS for a moment. A 2D sidescroller-esque game would be Hades but you may not enjoy the developer's perversions of European legend, lol. If you can look past it, it's clearly a great game. Can't go wrong with any of those really.

I game all the time, actually. I have heard the RE 2 remake is really good, but the RE 3 remake wasn't so great. I have played the originals. I might run out of No More Heroes to play. I am bored with Fallout 4 (I am like level 63 or something and doing DLC) so I am thinking maybe NiER: Automata? What have you been playing lately?

NieR is excellent. Lovely soundtrack and really interesting build options. Like I said, I rarely depart from competitive FPS but NieR held my attention for the full 40 hours and I'm looking forward to Gestalt remake. If you're on PC make sure you get the FAR mod and read through, it's a bit of a pain but makes it much more pleasant. As for me I just play stuff like Overwatch, Quake, and aim trainers. I've fried my brain with this stuff and I now find it hard to put time into any other games, or media in general. I listen to music whilst I play and read daily but otherwise it's hard to make time for anything lest my skill degrades. Not that it counts for anything... Feel free to add me on Steam if you like: https://steamcommunity.com/id/violaine

I remember your clip of playing Overwatch while listening to Dead Can Dance! I usually prefer narrative driven games (not walking simulators, but RPG's and the like) but I get annoyed if I have to turn my music off to hear things LOL. Who do you main in Overwatch?

YES! I cannot stand how many people hate on Ghost! No, they aren't really that "metal," but they are a fantastic representation of occult heavy rock with metal tinges and lots of fantastic hooks.

Lana Del Rey has made some really good music tbh. She's one of the absolute very few female singers that I like these days. Makes good, anti neo-liberal critiques from a contemporary female perspective and good music.

I went on a mountain hike with some of my family not too long ago and I put on No Angel towards the end of the car journey there. It was actually quite fitting as the last well-travelled roads passed us by and my usually musically disaffected mother enjoyed it enough to sing-along. Made me appreciate it all the more.

Bill was likeable enough in the 90's, but he is an husk of a human now. Hillary and Chelsea have always been hideous. I guess I would have to answer no homo Bill.

You have quite the library! And a realistic scrobbles per day. Some people have as many scrobbles as we do but in only like a year. Suspicious!

I suppose so! I started to listen to music basically 24/7 during the COVID lockdown. I have stopped pretty recently, though. I got burnt out on it.
操作
-
RedSteel92
I also added a bunch of System of a Down and Rage Against the Machine plays recently that I had missed from listening while not scrobbling. Also corrected tags for Dååth and Tyranny and Mutation by Blue Öyster Cult. So, about 3,000 (I think?)of those plays are corrective scrobbles to fix tags.
