saw your comments on The Pietasters. Just wanted to say Hi. Good mix of Music. And my favorite pietasters album is by far the live cd Strapped. Lots of songs about sex and prostitutes. Gotta love it.

Hi, was a bit drunk when I wrote those messages the other day and was feeling a bit pissed off; thanks for your replies. BTW you have a pretty eclectic taste in music. I went to Latitude Festival last week and Regina Spektor was performing, didn't get to see her and clashed with someone else.

Yeah. I like it but not as much as her previous two recordings. Far lacks the whimsical and adorably quirky vocalizing of Begin To Hope and Soviet Kitsch. A trace of it remains, but for me, that is what makes her previous material so appealing. What Far lacks in impulse and character however, it makes up for in a more complex instrumental layering of sound and a more disciplined traditional song structure. I prefer the barren sound of the impulsive piano rythems and constant varying of texture and tempo vocal style of the past. In short, I like her more as an artist than a musician.
