Look at what all this music has become.

Look at black metal. The last.fm page of Burzum, once the most depressive band of the world, is a playground for trolls and victims of 4chan. Dimmu Borgir were advertised "the best metal band ever" at a subway station here.

Out of nowhere, after nobody expected it anymore, it emerges: the traditional Khanatist-best-of-list! (See how that rhymes?) This ancient ritual has been carefully saved from the disgraceful influences of modern times, such as reviews, pictures, ratings, replicable and differentiated opinions, etc. - you only get the list, pure and definite. There's this point in the life of a last.fm user when everything changes. Since the day you registered, you scrobble songs regularly, do the occasional shout, maybe join a group, make friends, troll around ….
Yet you feel that something is missing.
Something essential.
And once you figure out what it is, it is simply an enlightenment. Rebirth. Transcendence.
