10. Feist - The Reminder
Feists last album, Let it Die, was decent. A lot of people were impressed. The Reminder, however, figuratively destroys Let it Die. Not so much in the sense of something violent and horrible, but in the sense of well written songs ranging from bouncy to somber. Very+.

9. Rogue Wave - Asleep At Heaven's Gate

The former oink.me.uk and oink.cd were taken down in some kind of horrible police raid of sorts, and then they arrested the admin, I believe.

The music industry strikes again, ruining lives, making me sad, and really pissing me the fuck off.

Now where am I going to find all the great music I can't find anywhere else because it's just, you know, not known at all?

This does not bode well for our hero.

So the Hard Drive that had my 60gb of music on it kicked the bucket today.

I am going to do things to attempt to recover it. and about 30 of that 60 is on my mp3 player.

Alas, that is a lot of GB to be missing. MotherFUCK.

Symphony X, Dream Theater, Edguy, Behold... The Arctopus, Freak Kitchen, Phish, and some other bands.

I don't know, playing guitar hero is fun and all, but some of the songs are just shitty and annoying.

I figure if you added those bands to the game the relative awesome-ness would be increased by at least 12201031313 points.

10. Isis – In the Absence of Truth (October 31st)
A solid release from Isis with the basic Isis style, only a bit more dynamic and less hardcore shouts. The album feels like one long song, but not in the bad way. Through crushing chords, and interesting song structures, and interesting harmony, they bring an explosive, trudging, metal album.

Apparently, once a band has reached my top spot, I feel like I can't listen to them anymore because, they are, in fact, #1. So since elliott smith isn't #1 anymore, it seems like a REALLY GOOD IDEA to listen to him a lot.

Ahahahahahaha.

Also, I need to listen to King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Pelican more. It just really should be done. I like them a lot more than my listening habbits show.

I told you not to read it. It's hard to pick out of all the bands I like. But I love the variety. I would place Symphony X in there somewhere if there was room.
