Hey! thanks for your question. It is definitely a grower. I have listened to it alot (well over 100 times) of course it was already going to be a different album without Sabine, we all knew that. Sandra just sings so beautifully. She just shines on this album. As it should be, the onus was really on her as far as stepping in after Sabine's death. I believe any questions or concerns any Elis fan has been answered beyond doubt. Sandra is definitely the right choice for their frontwoman. The music takes a bit of getting used to, here again, it's obvious Sabine did have an influence. One thing I love about Elis is the guitar playing, too many of these femme metal bands stay away from guitar solos, or if they do play them they aren't very good as soloists. I really like what Max wrote on Rainbow. there is alot of percussion going on with that song. He did an awesome job constructing that song. Morning Star is my favorite and the DVD is just great as well. What are your thoughts?

Holy wow! a femme/prog/symphonic metal fan in Kansas City? Ultra cool! I'm in stinkin' Lincoln, Nebraska. We don't have an indie music store here anymore. It closed up a few months ago. Now we just have BB and Wally World. :(

Okay, I got my CD. I listened to it a few times. I am a bit disapointed. The track I like the most is the bonus song Far and Away. The problem I have with the album is that all the songs start powerfully then when it comes time for Marcela's voice to jump in it slows down. That's the way it is with all the songs in the album except the ballads. The album lacks something. I can't pinpoint it. It doesn't have enough omph for me. Many of the songs sound the same. Also Marcela's voice isn't as powerful as in Embrace The Storm album. I don't know....don't like it that much except for a few tracks. Their most powerful song is the bonus song ironically enough. I heard of Delain, heard a few tracks from Ludcity(?) and didn't like it. I haven't heard the new album. Don't even know the name of the new album. Is it good? I wasn't impressed with Lucidity...: /
