bahahahaha I kind of hope to have a divided fanbase....... my hope would be to actually get them all to like genres that they wouldn't listen to otherwise, maybe get a dude who's into metal into shoegaze, etc, and then when I play shows, all these different groups of people are hanging out and having a great time. My friend and I actually can't jam, he lives seven hours away, so we're just emailing each other songs and tabs at the moment. I'm going back home for a while and hoping to get some serious jamming and practicing at that point

it's not that we're going to try to mesh a bunch of genres into a cohesive sound, some of the stuff we write blatantly contradicts other stuff we write.. I guess the best thing that we would do is we would release albums based on genres, if that makes sense. have a death metal album, have a shoegaze album etc. I think our main act will be post-metal, but we will have a shit load other stuff released.

I have noooo clue who else is going to be in this group. It's kinda hard to find people who enjoy and are willing to write the kind of music we hope to start writing. Iunno, right now we'll just keep writing and see what happens later. We already have at least two albums worth of material, but its all different genres, post-rock to death metal, to shoegaze, etc. Right now, its a bass and drum combo to actually, but we write for every part.

yeah, I'm really digging Pelican's newest release. Its awesome. I am a multi instrumentalist, but I only am really good at the drums, and decent at the guitar. I've been trying to improve my guitar skills though. I am not in a band right now, although a friend and I have been trading music back and forth online that we've been writing. I am probably going to start one with him, as soon as he gets out of his house (he's a year younger than me and is still in high school)
