Yeah the Lips have come a long way, considering they started out playing the Batman theme at their first show like three times haha. I Wikipedia'd your school and it sounds pretty cool. I feel your pain as far as school goes - I go to Wells, which, if you want to talk about isolation, is a good example. Also our Wikipedia entry is pretty ...interesting, haha if you're into that. Let me know about that Rothbard album, it sounds pretty damn enticing.

Nice man haha. Math generally requires too much frustration and thought to really do anything worth the time it requires haha. Embryonic is pretty awesome - I really like "I Can Be a Frog"! I got that recommendation of that Rothbard album when you told me about it over the summer, but unfortunately my internet sucked there & now that album has become impossible to find-torrents, blogs - nada. Sorry to hear about your show situation, did you transfer to Carleton or something? I've only gone to a couple shows this semester-Akron/Family (INCREDIBLE!!) and the Mountain Goats (okay). School's going pretty well on my end too-pretty busy though. As far as what I've been listening to lately-Akron/Family, Cold Cave, Low are all really fucking great and highly recommended, and I've become the typical college student and started listening to Coltrane haha.

heh, i saw them at treasure island last sunday and i've been pretty much completely obsessed since! it's both wonderful and unfortunate because i think i look kinda crazy. mercury rev are great though they lack one key ingredient imo. (wayne coyne)
