A great start with two of my alltime-favourites, but location and audience spoilt the experience a bit.

Fun night with a lot of booze.

Rather average gig.

Beautiful night, I can still cry just thinking of “Global Cut”.

Nice gig.

19 February 2009 - The Gaslight Anthem, Frank Turner - Hamburg - 4/10
Too crowded, maybe my expectations were too high, but disappointing.

Lido… No barriers… Front row… And my favourite band…

2 March 2009 - Maxïmo Park - München - 8/10
Another tiny venue and still my favourite band.

The clubtour was on another level, apart from Leeds and Hamburg I haven’t seen the Park as strong again in 2009.

They’re not bad, not they’re not overwhelming either.

21 March 2009 - Gisbert zu Knyphausen, Nils Koppruch - Bremen - 8/10
Even if the on/off between Gisbert and Nils was a bit annoying, Gisbert won my heart by storm.

I didn’t plan to go this gig, but my decision to skip the Stag & Dagger at Leeds and to stay at the Academy turned out to be right.

The Academy was like a steam bath, everything and everyone was soaking wet after the show.

Fun night for various reasons, I can still p*ss myself about the singer being on who-knows-what and a call from the audience “Hey! Turn up your micro, we can’t hear you, it’s so lo-fi!”.

Wasn’t the best year of the Breminale or maybe I wasn’t in the mood for it.

Way too crowded on Saturday, spoilt the whole weekend.

HEALTH 7/10 Weird guys, weird show.

Patrick Wolf 7/10 Love him or hate him, I enjoy his show.

Mediengruppe Telekommader 3/10 I don’t like the new bad-electro-thing.

Wintersleep 4/10 One of the biggest disappointment of the years, just one word: Kermit.

Good Shoes 5/10 Well, Good Shoes, eh, no more, no less.

Element of Crime 8/10 Timeless.

Dancing Pigeons 6/10 Nice.

MGMT 2/10 Worst show of the year. Don’t EVER go to see them live.

Metronomy 7/10 They saved my night with sweet electro.

William Fitzsimmons 5/10 Chilling on Sunday.

Trashmonkeys 6/10 Fun.

Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip 6/10 Good, but half an hour is enough.
