Hee hee. No, not the children's nursery rhyme. As if I'd reco that. Well… yeah I would. No, this is what some people are calling "UK funky", a sort of weird mix of dancehall, house music and rave, but a bit whey, a bit whoa, a bit wonky.

I had a brainwave this evening and fired up YouTube, dug out one of Beyoncé's videos and muted the sound, then watched with this track from DJ Dexter open in another tab. Proper laugh out loud. Unfortunately, the video ends before the song, but it doesn't matter, those moments when everything synchs up and the choreography and lyrics match more than make up for it. Fantastic choreography in Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It), I have to say.

I have no idea who K.I.G Dj Dexter is but apparently he's the best DJ in Hackney (voted 2007).
