This is why everyone classifies a music in another language as one genre. The world tag is helpful in some ways, but because of this no one realizes that they have so much more in different cultures. Not all music in a different language is drastically different from our own.

Why does there have to be so much hate for this tag? Seriously, people, it's a good way to sort and organize music that has styles other than mainstream. The artists in question also have other tags attached to them too, quit being so damn revolutionary over nothing.

lol @ people's responses to the tag. It's not the greatest tag, but it's no worse than generalizing all types of mainstream music as "pop". To people from other countries, it's world music, it's from another part of the world. They probably aren't going to make much effort to explore the 800 subgenres, and i wouldn't blame anyone for doing the same the opposite direction.
