Although this tag has nothing to do with the musical genre of artists, it is considered unusual to tag composers (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, etc.) because they are not the performers. I lol'd.

tag clouds generators have an option to not include "seen live" tags... so i think there is no problem with them at all

This tag messes up tools that generate tag clouds or compare bands/users/groups on the basis of tags. And if the top tag of an artist is 'seen live' it isn't very descriptive. Of course, some of that can be fixed, and I honestly don't care much myself, but that's why people seem to hate this tag.

Possibly one of the most stupid tags in all lastfm, and of course grows proportionally with the idiocy of all the users that use it proudly. For example, people whose idiocy makes using this tag more than fourty times in twenty minutes.
