Hmm, HeavenDuff must be right, his powers of persuasion and control of the english language are so awe inspiring, but CotBayun, not gothic? the lyrics are darker and more gothic than a lot of other music with that tag. yours, mr relaxation

haha, what the smeg's a hooley dooley?? i can't think of Evanescence as metal either but what are they? they're not rock. i've seen these guys and they've got a brilliant metal sound. not the heavy stuff i associate with metal. soft metal???????? who cares, it's a great band, pop or not

Orthored. Nightwish, Within Temptation and Evanescence are metal bands. You like it or not. No matter if you have Syndrome Underground. Great bands for a sign. I just think it's funny being in the tag "Gothic Metal"

Even those bands as Nightwish or WT say that they were not gothic bands but most likely symphonic metal.

It seems like if you have a female singer you're automatically gothic these days. Shame so few of the bands who claim to be this genre are actually good.
