@ Moonsilence_de: Windy knows she's a questionable singer and only put her voice on the tracks at the urging of her husband, Carl. Otherwise she feels slightly embarrassed. But I disagree that her voice ruins a song. There's depth in it that mirrors what she does on the bass, and she knows how to work well within her limitations (i.e., you don't hear her throwing her voice all over the place, or trying to harmonize with herself, or even placing it really high in the mix, with the exception of early singles and a couple tracks on "Songs for the Broken Hearted").

I wouldn't say this is an all time classic, but it is pretty damn solid. very relaxing and the sonics are great; windy isn't the best singer but she is adequate for the job at hand

Such truly, truly amazing music. I feel like I can listen to exactly what your hearts want to express, and that's pretty cool. I am quite fond of Windy's voice--she's like Seal's counterpart. Thank you so much.

I've always had a certain issue with Windy & Carl. They create the most beautiful, meditative and deep string & drone ambient soundsscapes I know of, but when Windy starts with vocals, the track is slighty ruined. She is just not that good a singer, her voice is totally mediocre. Admit it. Plenty of examples on Consciousness and Depths. Seriously, I'd prefer her to just s*** up. But she can't help it and feels the urge to prove her singing... uh... skills.
