I love slash, but I personally liked his playing in GNR better. I like distinct sounds. It's not like I don't like hard stuff, I like some Metallica, but I usually prefer clear cut, distinct, single notes or small chords. I don't usually like heavy stuff with a lot of chords. For example, Sweet Child o' Mine was the best song I've ever heard, especially the solo and the beginning.
