乐队于1998年在加洲的Irvine成立，乐队成员是在高中和滑板场认识，并且决定组建一只乐队，之后乐队开始他们不断的排练和演出。
我们想写一些强大而有力量的歌，主唱Dustin说，基本上做到使整首歌都完美，而不是其中的一部分。

Sibbo, hate to tell you, but Thrice was never heavy. Beggars is not as straightforward as you're making it out to be, and nothing from Beggars is as commercial as All That's Left, Stare at the Sun, and the title track.

How is Beggars more accessible than The Artist in the Ambulance? TAITA is full of hooks and big choruses. There's a reason why it's the preferred album amongst 15 year old girls.

As a big fan of TAITA, I would have to say that although Beggars is far more accessible, it is also just better (IMO)... and this is from someone who thoroughly enjoys heavy music.
