The Wreckers是由格莱美获奖歌手Michelle Branch和她的好友Jessica Harp于2004年组建的在成立这一组合之前，Harp曾在纳什维尔以歌手和歌曲制作者的身份力图获得一纸和约，同时她也是Branch音乐上的合作伙伴，一直做Branch演唱会的Back Up的工作。The Wreckers组建之后，同年发行了首支单曲Good Kind，次年收录于偶像剧One Tree Hill的原声带中，同年，她们投入了新专辑的制作，但是专辑的发行日期却一拖再拖，直到06年5月终于通过华纳旗下的Maverick发行—《Stand Still, Look Pretty》。
