I'm aware of the history of the term, but I prefer to use it more generally as a descriptor for anti-patriarchal punk bands with female vocals. I thought riot grrl was generally understood as more of an stance/attitude/lifestyle than a chronological classification of a supposedly bygone era anyway. =/
