　　Jackson家族是一个音乐之家，Michael Jackson的父亲Joseph Jackson早年就组过乐队，他也极力培养他的孩子们搞音乐，1964年，Michael Jackson（主唱）和他的四个哥哥Jackie Jackson（和声、舞蹈）、Tito Jackson（吉他手）、Jermaine Jackson（贝司手）、Marlon Jackson（和 声、舞蹈）组了一个乐队，他们经常在家乡Gary, Indiana（印第安那州盖瑞市）的酒吧作演出，直到1968年他们加入著名的Motown唱片公司（著名的黑人音乐厂牌，培养出Stevie Wonder，Lionel Richie，Marvin Gaye，Diana Ross等超级大牌歌手），他们正式使用The Jackson 5这个名字。1969年经由市长的赏识，引荐给Diana Ross，得以结识Motown的老板Berry Gordy，并且签约，随即全家迁居洛杉矶。

    essentially they are the same band, except this time they're making their own music, everything after Destiny is huge growth on their part, first time they've produced their own music and wrote their own songs which is a tremendous thing to do

    Jermaine returned to the group from 1984-1989 though, while Randy performed on stage with his other brothers in the later J5 days. They're essentially the same band, give or take a few members.

    No. The Jackson 5 included Jermaine but not Randy. The Jacksons are Randy without Jermaine. The rest of the brothers were in both groups.

    I saw my boys last week at coney island....what a magical night...they are better performers now than they were when they were much younger and they look hotter than ever! I had met them at their concert this past june 30th at englewood, N.J. and had my pic taken with them!! I will never forget these nights ever..especially when I was standing right next to them havign a pic taken with them...I'm sooo glad and happy that I was able to give them a big HUG and kiss to let them know how much I loved them all!... I hope God will bless me to have this opporutnity to meet them again soon somewhere!... truly a very MAGICAL experience!..the highlight of my whole summer! :-)

    Saw them perform at The Apollo for The Unity Tour!! A true party. A great full circle for me for I saw them perform at the Victory Tour in September 1984 when I was 10! You know my little mind was tripped out. LMAOO!
