If you're so biased and close minded when it comes to music that you have to post ignorant ramblings on a fucking last.fm shoutbox to make yourself feel important then I pity you. In Matt F's blog post he mentioned that music is made first, foremost, and solely for the creative sake of the artist. And he's absolutely fucking right. I don't think he (nor any true musical artist) gives a flying fuck what others think of their music. It's their creation, and they're going to be proud of it no matter what other people say. Do you think Radiohead cares that the FF's don't like them? Why are you all wasting your time propagating a stupid, Pitchfork contrived "feud" between two equally good artists? What are you accomplishing, and what do you have to gain? In other words get a fucking life.

basically, pitchfork blew everything out of proportion. whenever someone says anything bad about ANYTHING, it's taken way too seriously and people get wayyyyyy too defensive (we're all guilty of this, myself included.) people can have their own opinions, and america is a country where we're free to express them whenever we so choose. how can you even really defend a band anyways? people get usage out of bands on a personal level.
