there are still too many ppl around the world who havent heard of this band... ive been listening to the faint since i was liek sixteen and feel like they are my best friends ive never met! for some reason no one outside the states and teh uk and germany know of their uberness ;)

it's the opposite for me too. I didn't like BWA at first, thought DM was too scenester...Wet From Birth was when I started listening carefully, and gradually I grew to like all their albums equally. Well, except for for Fasciination.

This is such a HUGE show, and I'm going to miss it (my parents live on the East Coast). If anyone goes to the Waiting Room, please leave a comment at http://omaha.net/articles/my-omaha-alternative-holiday-experience That article has some local publicity/info about The Faint (local to Omaha that is), and has a great calendar of other upcoming shows in the city. I'd love to see what people are saying about Omaha music and The Faint!

I think The Faint are one of those bands that are initially impressive, but as you keep listening; flaws and cracks appear in the song writing. Danse Macabre was really great first time round, but the songs aren't built to last, they don't keep you enthralled for long, and soon enough I was skipping all their tracks.
