A note about the tag "Psychedelic Rock". Regardless of individual opinion on whether The Black Angels are a Psychedelic Rock band the fact is that looking at the tags for The Black Angels they are considered highly by many people as being "Psychedelic Rock". Furthermore Christian Bland's Artwork is most certainly psychedelic, the band's sound is classic psychedelic especially with the use of effects, spring reverb etc plus the band act as the backing band for Roky Erickson who was the vocalist with the original Psychedelic Rock band The 13th Floor Elevators whose first album is titled "The Psychedelic Sounds Of The 13th Floor Elevators". On that basis suggesting that The Black Angels are not psychedelic rock is akin to suggesting that The 13th Floor Elevators weren't psychedelic rock which would be in my opinion just plain silly. Both bands are advocates of Psychedelics and are rock music.

just got the 3 L. P. version of Directions To See A Ghost. I'm stunned. 2 extra tracks. Christian's artwork is as great as the band itself. Truly wonderful.

I am sure they will tour on their own after the release of their next album which is planned for mid-March. We have just to be patient.

Wow, as if they are opening for wolfmother, wolfmothers new cd is weak, too many okay alright songs amongst the few good ones. Its good they are gettin out to a big huge audience this way tho!!
