The Script,三个27、8岁的爱尔兰小伙子的乐队。第一张专辑发行于2008年8月，Mark 和Danny年少时都住在都柏林，附近有个啤酒厂经常举办音乐会，在那经常有跳舞唱歌的活动。他们特别迷恋美国黑人音乐。Mark 和Danny写了一些歌，他们突出的音乐天赋很早就得到了众人的肯定，并得到了一些合作邀请，这包括他们心目中的偶像。比如R’n’B的Dallas Austin，Teddy Riley, The Neptunes 以及Rodney Jerkins等等。
Mark 和Danny为很多艺术家做幕后工作，制作demo。但是当他们遇见了都柏林的鼓手Glen后这一切发生了改变。Glen从15岁起就为了他的音乐工作室而到处打工赚钱。在Glen自己家里的音乐工作室中他们三人在一周之内连续创作了三首歌，Glen说他从未有这样的机会和其他人这么自由的表达自己的才能。就这样，他们以”the script”的名字开始了活动。
