由Scott Weiland、Robert Deleo、Dean Dean Deleo和Eric Kretz四个人组成的乐队Stone Temple Pilots虽然不是来自西雅图，但可以说他们的音乐有明显的GRUNGE风格。96年他们在ATLANTIC唱片公司旗下发行的作品《Tiny Music…Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop》是乐队迄今为止发行的四张唱片中最有个性的一张。我承认此前乐队的两张专辑——《Core》和《紫》也是佳作，而且的确获得了成功。但是这两张专辑的风格相对单一、变化不多。而《Tiny Music…Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop》在保留前两张专辑风格的同时，又有新的突破。专辑中既有狂躁失真的GRUNGE又有旋律优美的抒情曲目，而更加突出的特点是：一改以前较为固定的编曲模式，音乐表现的更加自由无拘束、更加另类。不少Stone Temple Pilots的乐迷在听到此专辑时甚至怀疑这是否是Stone Temple Pilots的作品。

I named my first band after one of their songs ('wicked garden'). Back then in the middle 90s, every band wanted to have a fruit- or garden- related name (Blind Melon, Lemonheads, Cranberries, Soundgarden...etc) :D
