  • The Smrz Awards 2009

All My Life übergingen und so den Anwesenden ordentlich einheizten.

Invaders Must Die als Smasher of the year auszuzeichnen. Invaders Must Die und Breathe.

Goodnight and Go, sehr zur Freude der begeisterten Fans.

Please Read The Letter hinreißen.

We Are The Champions von Queen und natürlich Fit But You Know It von The Streets.

    Sat 5 Dec – Dolphin

First of all – band cannot tour with incomplete line-up, definitely. Recorded parts are bullshit. Its nonsense and disrespect to fans and eventual listeners. Even if band’s member is sick or just out why don’t find a temporary replacement? And this kind of fault is not about stolen riff from Marilyn Manson. It’s much worse.

All the rhythm section has been recorded. Though even in this case bass sounded suck. What a poor gear? Also frontman had an addition drumset but it’s a damn dumb. Crashes seems were off but he stuck them anyway, in various sound case. Yeah, what a smart triggers. Other things as tom sounded as bassdrum in one song and obviously seen unrhythmical snare sticking in marching parts seem to be less harmful. I don’t understand a reason for he’s dumb-drumming experience. Do headbanging or something if you bored to stay in instrumental parts. Lame drumming sucks.

Guitar payer. Strange because it has been suspicious he had just slight appearance in mix. I’m not sure because most of parts were heavily processed with echoes, feedbacks and so on. Also notable thing is that technician changed him a guitar almost after every song. Four or five guitars have been cycled, where one of them looked left-handed which is strange because the others not. And after a change, during a song, taken guitar’s head had been sticking out of the stage from left side where technician slowing tuned it. This is as funny as stupid. Guitars, each for 200 bucks from the local guitar store? Or maybe ‘cause of big variety of tunings? Nope. The only way is that he’s a Steve Vai’s fan or his old Evo as it cannot stay tuned long ;)

The rest parts as casual keys and other, of course, were recorded.

Also the artworks are noticeable ‘cause they resample KoЯn’s stuff. Weird kids, stump bleeding bodies, knife murder. Hm… well, what have I been attending, huh? It’s hardly correlated with musical part. Also notable fact that artworks’ credits have been shown. As it’s a gift to a band or something.

And the last disappointment. There’s been a lack of crowd communication. Frontman only once told “thank you much”, no hello, no goodbye, no how-you-doing-fellows. He had lots of time when he didn’t sing or didn’t dumb drumming. He didn’t even bow with guitarist in the end. I haven’t seen this before.

Maybe this time is for me as an old video game played long ago. You remember it only well and once you play it after that time you realize it’s outdated and not any longer well. It’s sad.

  • Top 1000 Albums (1970-2009) - Part I (2000-2009)

Funkafonik

Alright, as we near the end of this first Y2K decade, it's time to take a look back at all the best Albums that have been released in the last 40+ years.

I'll start off this extensive research with 2000, up until 2009. I'll then go back to 1980, all the way up to 1999, to then wrap things up with the 70s and before.

I'll be choosing my Top 25 Albums for each year; an ordered Top 10, and ~15 others worth mentioning. I'm also considering the live albums and EPs (~5), but they have their own section since songs on these have usually been released on official releases. The final result will be a Top 1000 for Official Albums, and Top ~250 for Live/EP albums.

These are general rankings of how I see them today, and based on my Last.FM songs playcounts (2005-now) put through the formula:

Total Sum of each Album's Song's (running time X playcount)
    DIVIDED BY
    Album's Total Running Time

Thanks to MediaMonkey and its amazing scripting abilities, that formula gives an Album's REAL playcount, taking into consideration every song's lenght & playcount in relation to the overall album's lenght and # of songs on it.
You'll see the result (# of times I've really listened to an album since 2005) besides each, along with my 10* Rating. (x/x)
Besides each Year, you get the Total of all Albums' Playcounts and the average of all Albums' Ratings. (x / %)

Note that I haven't necessarily discovered and enjoyed all these albums on their released years, some I discovered years later. So these are also based on how important (to me) some of these albums were at the time.

    (**) are the complete albums I was into at that time;
    (*) are albums that contained only a few song(s) I was into or listened to at that time;
and those without (*) are albums I discovered years later.

  • Gli ASSOLI, secondo alcune ragazze/i su Facebook.

Nevola

    PORCA PUTTANA!
    Buon ascolto.
