I got turned onto Steely Dan back in 73 ah 74 can't really remember what year. Had an oler brother IN LAW he was really into that kind of music. Along with Almond Bros., and Sea Level. But Deffinatly Steely Dan, just stuck, Love em. Deacon Blues, Peg, Reeling in the years. Don't make em like that any more!

I first came across Steely Dan back in '73, when one of the BBC DJ's on Radio One started playing stuff from Can't Buy a Thrill... Reeling in the years, Dirty Work, Do it Again... great tracks! Loved them ever since. First time I saw them on TV was '73 (I think)... they were filmed rehearsing for a gig at Hammersmith Odeon and they did a run through of Reeling in the years, with Skunk Baxter (pre Doobies!) producing some badass solos... excellent!
