如过把Shoegazing这种音乐想象成一种画面，我脑海里第一个会浮现的是SLOWDIVE的专辑《JUST FOR A DAY》的封面。被大量的黄系的色块覆盖，具有古典意味的层次感，而色调却是温暖的黄色。这在一次证明了，SLOWDIVE与同时期其他Shoegazing乐队的不同。
SLOWDIVE是一支发迹于90年代初却隐匿与90年代中期的短名乐队。他们留给人们的记忆前前后后仅仅六年。然而，仅仅六年，却也见证了Shoegazing风潮由兴起到衰败的过程，这过程丝毫没有什么惊心动魄，甚至也称不上大行起道。因为大洋彼岸的GRUNGE风潮以及英国本土的BRIT-POP风潮的双重夹击下迅速沉沦了。
而Shoegazing死于它正裸足前行的未成年时期，而SLOWDIVE几乎和她同生死，在还没有长成一棵支繁叶茂的大树时进行了果断的自我摧残。这种自我毁灭也诞生了后来传奇厂牌4AD下声明鼓噪的大牌MOJAVE 3。

I agree with @FLRTE. Pygmalion is their underrated masterpiece. It`s the hardest one to get into it, for sure, but it`s that point of artistic heights they were trying to achive throughout their short career. They`ve made it, and after this it seems they couldn`t create anything better under the name of Slowdive. that`s why they split, and created this strange, folk Mojave 3...

Unbelievably at every sad or depressing event in my life recently the first song i hear is always 'When the Sun Hits' off Souvlaki. It always makes me smile in a sort of pathetic way haha

It seems that most of us ae listening to Souvlaki... well, I recommand you to focus on Pygmalion... slightly different, harder to get into it... bu in the end, probably their masterpiece.

@qEEEEERa - I'm not saying I've known them for that long. What i remember is that a year ago it wasn't listened to that much. I just wonder if they'd gotten that attention back then, maybe they would've made more slowdive records. But i like your balls theory.

Perhaps his dad used to listen to Slowdive with the earphones plugged into his balls so the little sperm in which LihinianZissouaosuoasudf was growing could listen to Slowdive, that theory also includes the Mom version
