Originally called Saron Gas and signed to Musketeer Records in South Africa, they changed their name in 2002, coinciding with the release of their second album and major label debut, Disclaimer. The font used for the logo from Disclaimer to Karma and Effect is called DANimal.

[complain]It's awful that Saron Gas is integrated in the Seether site. I just do not listen to the newer Seether. Not because I don't like them. I just don't know them and despite the fact that Saron Gas actually is Seether it's another (earlier) period of the band's history anyway, so it would be better if there were two seperate artist's in my opinion. I have heard some songs by the actual Seether and they sound not THAT similar to their earlier works. [/complain]
