I enjoyed the new EP despite my love for Titan. There is a level of unpredictability on it that I enjoy. Although some of the tracks have a Skrillex influence they don't follow the formula of Vocal Splicing -> Vocal sample of a kid saying something -> drop. Arcanine has what I would like about Skrillex music, without the annoying drop that accompanies it. Paradise feels like a mesh between Unicorn Kids Dream Catcher and True Love Fantasy (without the overly annoying hook). We Were Young reminds me of a somewhat faster Burial track with the use of rain, cassette crackle, ghost like voice, and the sound of a gun being cocked in a video game. The whole EP feels like a mesh of different styles and I enjoy it.

i just listened to it again after some time of getting more open minded and all... he is practically combining 8bit, dubstep and dnb... meaning he probably just is trying out something new. however, i really befriended with his new style by now. he should do more songs like first crush though haha :D love that one
