While it is a solid effort, I must admit some disappointment with the new work. Probably has more to do with expectations. To me Eilodon is in the running for album of the decade and to expect the arch to continue climbing is perhaps unrealistic. Criticisms: How long 'til someone busts out the 'symphonic prog' tag? The guitarist is so fucking emotive but it is like he is being restrained to showcase the vocals. I love the vocalists expressive voice but imho it dominates the music too much. Also I was hoping for more djent (but that's just me). Take Zdzislaw, Omega, and El Empe and alternate with any three off Feathergun. No contest. Still, on a scale of 1-10 where Eilodon is a 10 I'd say 8 .. ish. Still love this band doh. Peace.

nope I let it digest for quite a while buddy before reviewing. still a 5/5 for me. but thats just my opinion. each to their own though

Album's good, needs some growing time, but already I wouldn't say it's a 5 star like some of the reviews out there already - some people got a bit excited about getting an early review copy.

Just listened to the whole of Feathergun for the first time... wow wow wow! :D I actually can't get over how good it is. It's going to be one of those albums that goes down in history and I feel special to be here right at the beginning :)

Loved Downhill, Scissorlips and Katsushika need more growing time so far. The latter reminds me of Fair to Midland a bit.
