That's weird... I have the studio album version (8 min) and a live version from "Oh Lord, God of Vengeance, Show Yourself" (14 min). I've never heard of a 45 minute version. Is there music all the way through?

the track ""Finally, As That Blazing Sun Shone Down Upon Us, Did We Know That True Enemy Was the Voice of Blind Idolatry; and Only Then Did We Begin to Think for Ourselves" on my edition goes for 45 minutes while the booklet only says 8 something.. is this normal? ;/

Yes, Pelican's new record, in keeping with their previous material, is excellent. I find Pelican to be in a completely different vein of post-rock than Red Sparowes, though. Here's a question for you: Why on Earth are you in so many post-rock band pages asking ppl what they think about Pelican and their new record. ?

there definitely won't be a problem with that: A new (female) guitarist, new producer(Toshi Kasai) and songs with vocals. Even if they didn't do any of those things, any new materiel from these guys would still knock my socks off
