the term "post-harcore" is older than that bands (silverstein and stuff, by the way: they suck), it came along with the 80's washington dc and chicago hardcore scenes, bands like fugazi, rites of spring, embrace, etc. the newer bands are called post-hardcore because they refuse to say that's "emo"............they are'nt emo either but thats a whole other debate

Wish Last.fm had the cover song they recorded of the Smiths tune the Headmaster Ritual. I only know of it being on the vinyl format of Slip as an added track. A much edgier version.

Can someone tell me why bands like Helmet, Quicksand, and Handsome are classified as post-hardcore? Post-hardcore is usually associated with newer bands like Silverstein and Senses Fall, and gives a bad name to the genre (in my opinion only though). You are joking right?
