seen them live oh so many times. every time i hear the opening notes to "long nights" i INSTANTLY have the absolutely pavlovian need to rush to "the front" (no matter where i am at the time, which gets awkward in the car and at work...) and finger-point and scream and bounce around like im 17 years old. sheer perfection.

Yeah, because I go to local Warped tour shows and associate with underground artists I ended up with a bunch of releases that are good, but also pretty much only available from the artist himself. Whom almost no one has heard of.

I know I should check out their last two albums because songs from them were good live, but I still can't get past how incredible Venetian Blinds is after all these years. Definitely a classic.

blah blah blah blah pop punk, emo, no they were this! no they weer that! and what not. piebald was a solid band, that's all any of us who were and are still fans of their music need to acknowledge. not these pointless discussions on where they need to be generalized and fit in. anyways, that's my little rant on that. good day.

Well, they broke up. So technically they can't be an amazing band anymore. ;) Well, I hate to get into one of these stupid genre discussions on last.fm, but dude: Have you listened to stuff like the Sometimes Friends Fight LP on Barely Legal? If that's not emo, I don't know what is. I think I love their early stuff so much more, because it fits in so well into the rest of my musical taste. I don't think the recent stuff is bad, to me it's just not as amazing as their early work. Well... each to their own, right?

Naah... They ended A LOT less awesome in my opinion. It's always the same with these emo bands. They make some great records and from there on it's a sort of downward progression... like... a degression... or something...
