at home with owen is the most accessible owen album imo, and i'm definitely in agreement with s/t and no good for no one now having a far longer staying power than any of his other records. and yeah, valkyriemissle pretty much got it 100% correct, even if you want to include the cap'n jazz and joan of arc shit that mike was a part of

i agree that his self-titled is the least accessible, but i think it has the longest staying power. that and "no good for no one now". i love them all, in all honesty, but i definitely have to say that you should try his self-titled as the first album. yes, "i do perceive" and "at home with" and "new leaves" are all wonderful, (let's not forget "(the ep)") but his self-titled really sticks with you. tl;dr, get the self-titled first. >_>

i realize it's a separate purchase from the new leaves album, but it can only be purchased in japan (i.e. japanese itunes, etc.) nevertheless, it can't be "purchased" in the U.S.
